Senior Infants in Room 6 celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge from 1st to 17th March. The children were encouraged to use the Irish language throughout the school day and to speak as much Gaeilge as possible. Each day, we had a Gaeilgeoir na Lae (Irish speaker of the day).
We celebrated Lá Glas by wearing green and took part in lots of fun activities, including céilí dancing and a tráth na gceist (quiz). The children really enjoyed the fortnight of celebrations, learning about Irish culture and developing their confidence in speaking Gaeilge.
